So you must be wondering why I’ve started this blog? Well….
Welcome to the World of Jess, Nottingham Beauty Blogger
Over the past weeks, months and years, I’ve loved photographing the world around me, as well as photographing any exciting purchases I make, but I never do anything with them afterwards! Sometimes they make it as far as Instagram, so I’m determined to make more of an effort from now on!
Soon, this blog will be full of beautiful imagery, ranging from my latest makeup purchases, my outfits and of course, my gorgeous Hedgehog, Mr Hedges! As well as much, much more!
So, for those of you who don’t know me.. Who is Jess?!
Me, Of course! I’m 26, living a vintage dream in the beautiful city of Nottingham. Currently working as a digital retoucher for Boots, and I love my job! At the weekends if I’m not photographing my day-to-day life, I have been whisked off to photograph a beautiful wedding.. somewhere within the UK! I shoot on average 40 – 50 weddings a year, which is A LOT! on top of a full-time job also. Sleep is overrated though right?
One thing you’ll quickly learn about me, is I’m completely and totally obsessed with Photography. Is it a good or bad thing to be obsessed with what you love? Who knows.. It gets me by though!
So here goes! Here is a little taster of what to expect in the future. Please make sure to pop back as much as possible and see what’s going off in the life of Jess!
I’ll make sure to introduce you to my beautiful little man, Mr Hedges. He’s been with us for 2 and half years now, and everyone always asks..why on earth have you got a hedgehog?! and I always answer with.. well, why on earth not?! He’s been my dream pet for years.. long before hedgehogs became ‘fashionable pets’ (who’d have thought it?!) In the Summer Hedges spends most of his time going on little adventures, like above! and in the winter it’s all about snuggling under the quilt enjoying a good old movie 🙂
Another thing you’ll be seeing a lot of in my photos is our beautiful flat! We live in a converted hospital building, from late 1890s/early 1900s possibly? Anyway, the windows are nearly floor to ceiling, meaning the sun we get through them is absolutely bliss, and perfect for a photographer, bonus!
You guessed it, I love my makeup, perfume, and general beauty products! typically I have quite expensive taste when it comes to these, but hey.. someone has to do it 😉 This is mainly what my blog will be filled of, so you can’t say.. you haven’t been warned! 🙂
