Halloween is only a few days away, and we’re in the mood.. Come and see how we’ve decorated!
Halloween styling around our flat
Autumn is my favourite time of year, and I always get so excited now! Halloween has a special little meaning for us over here, as that was when we met, October the 30th so I like to try to make a little effort each year. Due to only living in a flat I don’t like to go too crazy on decorations, so This year I’ve kept it subtle, but classy!
I’m so in love with these cinematic light up boxes. I came across these in the summer whilst shooting weddings, and they’re genius! You can pop any message onto the screen, get the light on and voila, you have a simple but fantastic little masterpiece for Halloween! Only problem I found was that there wasn’t enough letters, like you get loads already, but I always need more of everything in general! If you’re interested in the light up letter box, I’m sure you can buy more letters though, I just havent explored that! I bought it from The Range 🙂
With renting we can’t really do much to the walls/windows etc. So finding temporary solutions for the Halloween can be slightly challenging. As neither of us want skeletons hanging in the windows, or half a body in the middle of the floor (Doesn’t sit well with living in a converted mental asylum/hospital!) we much prefer keeping in with these small touches like above, this simple glitter paper chain works a treat, and when the sun starts shining in the bedroom, it looks absolutely beautiful! Also purchased from The Range!
A nice little close up of the chains! Great Halloween colours!
Another little idea if you’re having friends around for Halloween is these cute little bat cake topper! The perfect addiction to any little cakes or nibbles you have at a Halloween party! Again, it’s the little details which I think help to introduce a spook-tacular essence into our flat! These I purchased from Sostrene Grene! (My most favourite shop!)
What little details have you put into your home to celebrate Halloween? On Halloween night we’ll certainly be scaring ourself behind cushions watching Friday the 13th or something of the scary sort! What about you?
