Aubaine Restaurant in Selfridges London
Oh Selfridges, you sure don’t disappoint do you? We took a trip over to the Selfridges in London on Oxford street for a quick morning breakfast stop at Aubaine restaurant. I had seen this pop up on various Instagrams over the last few months, and decided it was about time that we got ourselves over there to see what the fuss was about. How did I not know about this gorgeous wisteria fill restaurant before? Admittedly even though it is in Selfridges it is tucked away in a little corner on the second floor, behind all the Dior, Gucci, Chanel shoes. which added a good half an hour onto the journey to the restaurant, purely because I kept getting distracted.
Once we finally got there and got seated, I was in absolute amazement by the beautiful wisteria covering the exposed ceilings and pipes, and beautiful window boxes a down the side of the restaurant. Luckily I wasn’t the only one, there was a few tables who was doing exactly the same as us, and the best part? I finally felt relaxed. It was so tranquil and beautiful I could have happily sat there for hours on end just admiring the whole restaurant.
You couldn’t fault the service either. We was sat in probably the best seat in the restaurant (I was cheeky and requested to be by the wisteria) and we wasn’t rushed or waiting for ages. We went for simple plates, I had porridge and Richard had a pain au chocolat with lemon tea and it went down n absolute treat. We spent around an hour in there having a good catchup, which is perfect for a couple who hardly see each other!
I know for certain, next time I’m back in London, that’s the first place I’m going to be back to, and this time I’ll definitely be having champagne! You only live once, right!?
Is there anywhere you would recommend visiting next time I’m in London? Would love to hear your thoughts!
Much love,
Jess x

Aubaine is so, so good! The Selfridges one looks incredible too. I used to schedule all my meetings in the Heddon street one. x
